Membership - Fellow Requirements/Maintenance of Fellow Status

Fellows please note that effective July 1, 2018 the AAPSM will be once again be adopting the original proposed requirement of Fellows attending one AAPSM sponsored meeting in a the 5-year span. 

Once an Associate becomes a fellow in the AAPSM, to keep fellow status the following will apply:

To remain a Fellow in Good standing the Fellow must attend 1 meeting every 5 years.  The meeting must be an AAPSM sponsored meeting with at least 12 cme units awarded.  A list of these meetings will be available to fellows on our website and newsletter.  Non-practicing senior “fellows” will be exempt from this requirement.  Fellows will also be required to be members in good standing with up to date dues payments. Special circumstances will be taken under consideration on a case by case basis.

Any Fellow whose membership is delinquent (more than one year) may be reconsidered for Fellowship by adhering to the following courses of action:

1. After one-year lapse - send dues payment;
2. After two-year lapse - send a letter requesting reinstatement, plus one-year dues payment;
3. After three-year lapse - must resubmit application for Fellowship, plus one-year dues payment.
